At this time of year, the crisp air starts to settle in, the leaves start to turn, and Starbucks introduces its fall drinks! While we did move the event up a little bit this year due to the Worlds, we still got to experience the taste of that Northeast fall. RC Madness in Enfield, CT has nothing short of everything an RC enthusiast could want. If you want to do 1/8 Off-Road Racing, Turf Racing, Carpet Racing, Drag Racing, On-Road Racing, Monster Trucks, Minis, and the list goes on, RC Madness has it!

The track layout this year was quick and very enjoyable to run on! You can check out the layout in the photo below. We practiced all day Friday, did two rounds of qualifying Saturday, finished the final round Sunday, and moved right into the main events! For tires, we experimented with a few different pairings. Check out the video below of Jason testing the tires! Ultimately, he landed on the Pin Swag tires in the front and the Drop Step Tire in the rear.

The 13.5 Stadium Truck main would come down to a battle between Eric Bresnahan and Matt Olson. Bresnahan took the overall TQ and Olson took one round. They would be close together. Bresnahan went on the tone trying to make an early surge. Olson was in 2nd pushing the pace and looking for a way around for the lead. About halfway through the race, Olson was able to make his move and take over. Olson hung on to the lead for the final half of the race with Bresnahan in 2nd. Evan Cook was in 3rd the majority of the race, but had an issue in the last couple of laps which allowed Tom Bishop to move into 3rd! The race concluded with Olson, Bresnahan, and Bishop for a JConcepts top-three sweep!

17.5 Expert Buggy: Andrew Bishop (2)

Caleb Jennings took the TQ in 2wd Modified Buggy after taking two of the three rounds. When it came down to showtime, it was triple A-mains.  Jennings won both A1 and A2, for an early overall win! A3 would determine the final two podium spots, which ended up being Brent Sianez and Jason Ruona!

40+ 2wd Modified Buggy: Jason Ruona (1), Matt Perault (2)

The 40+ 2wd Buggy Main was another 7-minute single event. Jason Ruona took the overall TQ and started first on the grid. From the moment that starting tone went off, he led the race flawlessly all the way to the end. He was unstoppable! Matt Perault was a big contender this weekend in 40+ as he took the TQ in round one of qualifying and was quick in the main! Perault held on to 2nd place the entire race!

13.5 4wd Buggy: Andrew Bishop (2), Matt Sousa (3)
